The price of a car rental in the USA

The price naturally depends on two factors: the hirer and the car model. But in general, prices are never excessive, and it should cost you between 30 and 45 € per day according to the model and the place of return of the vehicle.

If you return the car to a different place it will cost you more because the renters apply "One way fee" (or drop off) in addition. For example, during our crossing of the United States from east to west, we traveled more than 11,000 kilometers between New York and San Francisco. And we got a $ 650 fee. It is a fact that should not be overlooked and especially evoke quickly with the hirer to avoid the nasty surprises when making the car.

Ranges of cars

Another thing to know, when you choose to rent a car on the internet, you cannot choose a particular model. Instead, you will choose a range, a type of car. It goes from the little car "small car" (small to American, usually means average in France) to the Vans. Between the two, you have Medium (or standard), Large, SUV, 4x4 and sporty. The names may vary according to the hirer, the best being still to go see the types of cars on the site of the hirer.
